Daisy's Hideaways is in Government Camp located near Lucy's Trail. You can cross country ski to your back door. On the edge of Forest Service property , short walking distance to the alpine village where you can find shops,restaurants and breweries. Great home to be a hub for wonderful year round activies Mt Hood has to offer. This 5 bedroom 3 bath vintage cabin is pet friendly so the whole family can enjoy time together.
Wood burning stove for those cold winter nights, DVD collection for entertainment and a expresso maker for those who like a great cup of coffee in the morning ! This cabin is a great place to make memories with your family or friends.
This is a pet friendly home with a $60 fee per pet.

House was perfect for our gang of 5 adult family members, a toddler and 3 very well behaved dogs. Place was clean and comfortable*. Kitchen was large and very well equipped. Access to Government Camp trail system was excellent. The snow was gorgeous and we felt we had privacy with blinds open. We would have LOVED to finish out our stay.

*The problem was that the power went out at 5 AM (likely caused by substantial snowfall) the morning after we arrived, which meant no heat. The wood stove eventually worked, but for the first hour filled the place with so much smoke we had to open windows and doors. Unfortunately, and without notice that we should have conserved, water to the house is also on an electric pump, which meant no water. More details about what to do when power goes out would have been helpful.

So, we took a nice snowshoe and then packed up and left early Saturday afternoon. We would like to return next winter!

Although not a common reason for visiting the Mt Hood area, a huge part of why we selected this property was to have a Rose Bowl viewing party on New Years Day, and this property promised "satellite/cable" in their listing. There was no satellite/cable, and the property manager's attempted fix (a borrowed Ruku that was dropped off) did not work for live TV viewing since WiFi in this area is poor. Property manager then stopped responding to communications reporting this failure, later claiming they were "out of range". Disrupted our whole experience, had to travel to find a restaurant showing the game. Our poor review and rating is given for this misrepresentation of the property amenities and lack of communication from the manager. The very 'rustic' property, with old threadbare linens, worn and mismatched furniture, a bathroom with no heating vents so it was about 50 degrees with no way to warm up - probably should be expected for the area. We were provided exactly 1 towel per guest for our 5 night stay. Cleaning crew appeared to do the best they could with what they were given to work with and location was good.
