Beautiful, immaculate, cozy cabin ; compact floorplan leaves with lots of space for a family getaway with kids close to town amenities and ski slopes. Everything you need for a great getaway!

Had a very nice vacation with my family at Black squirrel cabin. Great location, close to lakes and hiking that we wanted to visit. Cabin was clean and had all the accommodations that we needed.

Great location to explore the area and hike. We stayed in the summer and our group of 3 had a nice time. We cooked breakfast in, hiked, dined out and spent evenings in. We would stay again.

An ideal vacation rental in Government Camp. This high-end cabin offers varied sleeping options but the bedrooms are on the small side, so luggage storage might overwhelm the space. The rear balcony backs up to the forest, but the hot tub takes up most of the space, so outdoor seating there is very much limited. Renters should check the condition of the hot tub as soon as they check in (it hadn't been property maintained prior to our visit and wasn't usable). The side porch offers plenty of seating options but is shaded due to the overhang and the forest. Inside was comfortable, clean and well-furnished. Great design and construction!

The house is a beautiful chalet. Feels very secluded in the snow. The views into the woods from the deck and hot tub are gorgeous. Pam, at the desk in Welches, was very helpful leading up to the stay. The place is spacious yet cozy at the same time. Can’t wait to go back!

Cute cabin in Govt Camp. Loved the Mt Hood area, spectacular. The cabin was comfortable for our stay. Please note there are a lot of stairs and no dishwasher which could be a problem for some. I would recommend staying here!

The house was great. Just as described. Love all the hipster mountain decor. The downstairs set up for the kids worked out great for our 4 year old. He was excited to have his own space. Really a great space.

The only recommendation I would make is perhaps putting some sort of gate on the front porch. I had wished we would’ve brought our baby gate just to contain the dog. Just to give them a little bit more freedom. He really wanted to be in the snow 24/7 lol

Traveling from VA to the West Coast, we were looking for a place in Oregon that would give us the whole Oregon experience. The Black Squirrel provide us exactly what our family was looking for. It was clean and everything worked as it should. It was a memorable experience for our family.

Cool designed room downstairs is a little weird but probably nice on a hot day. Would recommend a Dish rack since there is no auto dishwasher. Only one bathroom and its it takes a bit longer for everyone to get going in the morning. Parking is good ...generally quite though the traffic noise gets busy on the weekend.

This rental was absolutely gorgeous in the decor. It was elegant and really wonderful. The hot tub was lovely as well!

The only problem we had was the house had a swarm of carpenter ants which was a bit treacherous. They overtook the house and could be found crawling up in the loft on the carpet where they blended in and then all over the balcony where the hot tub was and all inside the house on walls and on the kitchen counter. These suckers were not only relentless but they also were huge (close to an inch long in some instances). You could see their giant mandibles!!! We slept uneasy knowing that they were crawling everywhere.

Pam from All Season Rental brought out traps and also placed down lavender oils around the entrances which helped a bit, but it was still not the experience we were hoping at the end of the day. We ended up staying for 2 nights because of the hot tub and didn't enjoy the hassle of moving to a new place mid stay (though it was kindly offered). If they figure out the situation with those ants, this place would be ACES.

They definitely have a keen eye with a top notch design aesthetic: Pendleton pillows, buffalo plaid, and midcentury mix.

This is our second year to rent this property and we love how close it is to everything. The house is on the end so we enjoy the privacy and view of nature all around. House has all the amenities we need and we love the decor.

This is a nice house, clean, well decorated, located in the south side of 26. We came for a ski Christmas camp and my kids were talking about the afternoon hot tub starting at lunch. High points are the decoration, comfy beds, hot tub, and maintenance (everything worked, including plowing service kept driveway clear). Wish the house had a second bathroom, but Id return. Little spendy but all things considered it was a great house for my family of 4.

Our stay at Black Squirrel was fantastic. The cabin is super cozy, but with enough room to spread out and get some quiet time. The treetop hot tub was quiet and relaxing. Entering through the well thought-out garage entrance was awesome for removing and drying wet ski clothes. Our two kids played for hours in the snow outside, building snow forts and throwing snowballs. We didn't want to come home and are already looking forward to our next trip.

We loved our stay at the Black Squirrel. The cabin had plenty of space and we loved the hot tub. The basement is perfect for taking a break from playing in the snow without making a mess of the upstairs. We loved how the cabin was decorated and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Very close to everything in Government Camp and the street was well plowed and access to the house was easy. Will stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Black Squirrel cabin! It is fully stocked with every possible amenity you could ask for, is impeccably decorated, and is extremely comfortable. The hot tub on the patio with the view of the majestic trees is not to be missed! We had an absolutely stellar time and were treated so kindly by the office staff. We would absolutely stay here again, and absolutely rent from All Seasons again!

It is an adequate home that allows a dog to come with you on vacation which is wonderful. The beds on the kitchen level are very good and confortable. (We did not use the loft bed) The problem is that the house has only one bathroom, no dishwasher, and no real family room to congregate with your family. It is an odd floor plan with a "family room" on the lower level behind the garage. It's really just a closet, no windows and a TV and desk. Kitchen is super small and again , no dishwasher at all. Basic kitchen supplies only and that's it. Some one the construction of the building seems to be inadequate. The stairs to the loft shake. The railing from the garage to the kitchen is loose.

We had an Excellent time here. Home is nice and warm when we arrived we instantly felt comfortable and at home.

Enjoyed three nights at the Black Squirrel over spring break. Plenty of space for our family of four; and very much enjoyed the upper deck hot tub overlooking up at tree level. We had some fun with the cabin heating (mixed up thermostats and either way to warm or pretty chilly!) which sounds like it is being addressed. We loved the feel and style of the cabin and would certainly stay there again.
